With its uniform shape and color, our Dutch (or blue) poppy seed is considered to be premium quality. Though they appear round, these little seeds are actually kidney-shaped, with a crunchy, nut-like texture and flavor that is often enjoyed in baked goods. These seeds like other dried seeds may germinate under proper conditions. However, herb and spice seeds sold by Frontier are not intended for sprouting purposes and in many cases will not germinate.
