Grapeseed oil has a relatively high smoke point, which is approximately 420 °F (216 °C), so it can be safely used for cooking food even at high temperatures. You can use grapeseed oil for stir frying or sauteing. Grapeseed oil also has a clean and light taste, with a little nutty flavor. Due its neutral taste, grapeseed oil is used as a dressing for making salads, or as a base for infusing or flavoring with herbs like garlic, rosemary, ginger, and other spices. Grapeseed oil is also used to make homemade mayonnaise.
It is also great as an addition for soap making recipes. Grapeseed oil has a fine texture and is almost odorless, and gets easily absorbed in the skin. Grapeseed oil may also contain antioxidants. A few studies show that grapeseed oil helps in raising HDL, the good cholesterol levels. Grapeseed is mildly astringent in nature and helps to tighten and tone skin. Grapeseed contains proanthocyanidins, which are very potent antioxidants, that help in diminishing the sun's damaging effects and lessen free radical damage.
